Mainstream Trans Story

As I’ve written before, I’m in way too many book clubs. In April, my book club decided on Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. I had zero expectations going into this book and quite frankly, I was a little judgmental—Jodi Picoult’s books are at the grocery store. Imagine my surprise and delight when I figured out this book centered a young trans woman. They wrote about the joys and challenges of transitioning beautifully. I’m so grateful that this book will be on grocery store shelves and that it is available to those that may be open to learning more about this community that is close to my heart.
